Had a literal rude awakening today. I had to take a pain pill around 10:30 this morning. It, along with staying up late, knocked me plum out. At 12:30 I was woken from a dead sleep by someone pounding on my Bedroom door. Blearaly, I muttered a confused Huh ,what whozit. Hurricane Police Department, either your mailman, or newspaper person notified us that you had not picked up your paper for several Days... They were afraid you were injured or Iill, we were asked to do a welfare check. . Along with scaring me half to death , it sent my wife int a bit of a panic attack. I went to track down my mailman Ryan... He didnt do it. Heck, If he thought there was a problem I figure hed come in and check his self. Couldnt have been the newspaper person... We canceled the paper several weeks ago. I was wrong. She had been trying to get ahold of me, and I never check my answering machine. Instead of leaving a note on the door, she elected to have the cops come into my house for no legitimate reason. Not a good idea. Not sure whether to call her supervisor, or not. I could more than likely get her fired, but she MIGHT have really been concerned.
