Had a major water leak today. I was sitting in the living room when I heard something in the kitchen beeping. I went to investigate and the stove was beeping apparently because it was wet. I didnt know stoves did that. Anyway... there was water running down the wall behind the stove and refrigerator. I immediately called the landlord and pulled the stove an refer away from the wall. In the time it took for him to get there (20 to 30 minutes) the ceiling tile above the refer collapsed and water had started to leak from the doorway between the kitchen and living room. This all started at about 3 pm. It is now 4:15. The landlord has turned off the water to the building. The repairman will be here around 8 am Monday. Fortunately, Im off this week for Thanksgiving break, so Ill have time to clean up the mess.
