Had a particularly poor customer experience in #GamesWorkshop Swindon today. It would appear that they have changed their policy on returns. Where I was unable to return an unwanted gift in exchange for something I did want without a receipt. Having done my research it would appear that a company is not under any obligation to have a returns policy at all, so as theres nothing wrong with it other than it simply not being something I want, they are within their rights to refuse an exchange. But yknow what? What happened to customer service? Ive never known a company in my life to refuse an exchange of un-damaged, un-opened goods in a straight exchange, and from the manager I received only a simpering Sorry dude... Well, yknow what? Sorry you refused to perform a very simple customer service exercise, which every other store on the high street would, without a second thought perform. And the thing is, it had been my intention to pick up some extra stuff from the store as well as swapping my extraneous item, so in addition to losing out on my immediate business, they have also lost out on any further business I may have been inclined to give them. Very disappointing Games Workshop, your service used to be beyond reproach. Thank you for your time dear reader.
