Had a pretty amazing day. Started off with pouring rain and a very interesting work meeting. Then went to District 6 museum. While I was there I got a phone call from a very special person, in France, that I had not heard from for a very long time. Then, I suddenly realized Manuel Barroso was standing behind me, with entourage and body guards. Later, in a cafe at the V&A Waterfront I struck up a friendship with a Spaniard who had just spent 5 months travelling down here from Morocco. In the evening, we met up at Mama Africa for a meal and great live music. We ended the night at Congolese night club Chez Ntemba. I just wish they had played more Congolese music. Still, amazing day!
