Had a pretty nice day at Riverside High School, ...Home of the Knights! I desired to keep it low key but from the moment I walked in the door and Marilyn sang Happy Birthday, the pumpkin cupcakes, many well wishes and kind remarks. I saw RHS as #1 in our state and region in the GraduateforMas contest was a good present. Also a nice surprise card from the north campus with the highest compliment I could get from another E.C. teacher that I am their favorite DECk 4 (inside teacher joke). Pleasant visits with students seeking counsel and direction all day until the last one, a 5 year old that bewildered and baffled me. I missed the parade downtown as I had an appointment to donate blood. A dreaded task yet something I can still contribute. Filled up with even less expensive gas, Was too late to go out to dinner with Monika so that she would get back home by Pirate Kickoff so instead we had our last Lil Ceasar pizza and cinnamon sticks from the FFA fundraiser. Yum, yum. Yes a pretty good day except for still getting hammered in my Chess games. Oh, well I am getting older and at times tend to forget and ..... what was I talking about again? Best get my warm milk and get to bed early since I am elderly.
