Had a really good day at the Koolie Rescue Short course trial yesterday. Good to give the youngters some exposure on different sheep and the experienced dogs a bit of fun. There were some excellent runs in the advanced, from Maurice Metherall and for newcomer Peter Vest with Windeyer Storm who he has only had for a few weeks. I think his daughter ran a cracker with a koolie. I think Cian got a tie 2nd in Intermediate, first run of the day and i was still working out the gates! Thanks to Michelle Wilkins for all her work and Tony Mulvihill for the use of his property. I really like the short course format, gives newcomers and just starting dogs a good intro and just as much fun for advanced people and dogs as there are different challenges to the usual trials. If anyone is friends with some of the people there or Koolie Rescue please feel free to share.
