Had a unique experience tonight. Visited with a sister and brother who both live at Pt Defiance Retirement Village. The sister, Bea, who is 94, fell in her apartment on Wednesday and has the bruises to prove it! She will not see a doctor, however. But we visited and prayed with her and her brother, Bob. After, we decided to eat at Anthonys Restaurant by The Vashion Island ferry dock. We checked in and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. Okay, it was Friday night and busy. We waited......and waited for one hour! People came in after us and were seated. Anthonys doesnt make reservations, so Sonny finally went up and ask why people who just came in were seated and their were three families before us who hadnt been seated yet. Heres how they work.......call in and ask for your name to be put on the list. When you come in, you will be seated immediately! Its not a reservation just putting your name on the list but seated before anyone waiting for a table. After a good hour and knowing this (and being offered their card with number on it) we removed our name and left the restaurant! I wonder if the other parties who where there before us are still waiting?! So, if you want to eat at Anthonys at Pt Defiance, call first, even from the parking lot, enter and be seated! Sounds like reservations, without times, to me!!!! Probably wont bother to eat there again. Love the Anthonys on the waterfront in Seattle, though! Finally, after much good humor, we chose the Poodle Dog in Fife!!!! Our server was fantastic and great fun!
