Had an interesting driving experience on the way home today. Im coming up the by-pass and a van pulls into the turn lane on my left and wants in my lane. Well, theres no room in front of me, but plenty behind me, so I go tootling along below the speed limit waiting for the car in front to speed up. The van driver speeds up instead and there is still no room between the car in front of me and me, and Im not stopping my car for her. I really hate it when people make that turn lane their own private lane. So, Im still tootling along and she suddenly slams on her brakes, honks her horn, and snaps in behind me. Now shes cupping her hands around her mouth like shes yelling at me, then she uses her right hand in a pushing motion, like she wants me to speed up (hello? the car in front of me wouldnt appreciate me getting into their back seat) and then she intertwines her thumbs, hands up, and does a little dance movement with them, then she waves at me, more than once, and is yelling (Im assuming) the whole time. Usually Id flip someone off by now, but there was something about this woman that made me not do that - her looks (long stringy hair that didnt look brushed - but it is windy outside) her wide-eye look that said, nuts? I dont know, but I restrained my finger, and just pretended I didnt see her....which, of course, frustrated her more. She tailgated me a lot! Luckily, I was turning left soon and thought Id be rid of her, but no, she turns left too! Now Im a little worried! Is she following me so she can actually yell in my face? I decide to turn down Cottonwood Place (or is it Driver or is it Street???) to go the long way home. She turns down that road too. Now, shes not tailgating any more, in fact, shes backed waaaaay off. That seems strange! (stranger?) so I figure shes about to turn into one of the driveways on that road. Nope! Guess where she turns in? Yep, the Guidance Clinic!!!! I so wanted to turn around and pull in there too and say, Oh my gosh - Im so glad you pulled into here, and I certainly hope you dont work here! Lord knows you need some help, honey!!! So watch out for a dark grey van - dont know the license plate, but if I see her again, Im moving over and following HER!!!!
