Had an opportunity to experience the magic at Adlabs Imagica (off the Mumbai Pune Expressway) and of course all was well until I attended the I for INDIA show... From Ladakh to Kanyakumari, they thought they covered it all but what they left out was a HUGE chunk of India that is known by the umbrella term THE NORTH EAST... Someone that night pointed out that these people show what sells... So my question is, if the Pangong Tso Lake in Ladakh can sell then why not the Chhangu Lake in Sikkim, if Dal Lake in Srinagar can sell then why not Loktak lake in Manipur (the only lake in India to boast of floating islands), if the White Desert in Gujarat can sell then why not the Tea Gardens of Assam, if the dandia raas of Gujarat can sell then why such apathy towards the bamboo dance of the Naga tribes, if the lush green slopes of the Western Ghats can sell then why leave out the astonishingly gorgeous landscape of Cherrapunji in Meghalaya? What irks me is not the apathy but the choice we Indians make to be ignorant and spread the ignorance... We need to take a stand, a stand to not only know more about our own country but also to derive pride out of the fact that we indeed are DIVERSE...
