Had another amazing day at faire. It was a bit slower than yesterday, especially with the rain in the morning, but I think that was just what I needed. Yesterday was a flurry of greetings and hugs and checking things out. Today was more about spending a little time actually catching up, seeing some shows, doing some window shopping, and checking out the cast. Speaking of which, I had the greatest time watching the gypsies this morning. After the storm, they were trying to get under the rocks in the lane to show deference to one of the nobles. Which then led to playing with mud. Which started off with simple face painting, and quickly escalating. The most amazing part was watching them get normal patrons to willingly hug them even though they were a muddy mess. And though this might sound sacrilegious, I think I may have found something better than bacon. :O Deep fried pepperoni. It tastes just about as good as bacon, but it is a lot lighter, and not greasy. Oh, and yay for all the music this year! I had a wonderul time later in the day, just sitting on the bleachers near the rose booth. Listening to Micheal play some beautiful tranquil piece. While behind me I could just make out the Plunder Doggs performing on stage. And if I listened hard enough, I could hear Richard playing one of his great pieces just up the lane. Just the right amount of overlap, with a nice breeze coming down the lane.
