Had lunch today with Mark Cuban. Fascinating guy. Well thought out and believes what he says. He is not afraid to be challenged. He is a way big government guy to me. No problem with gov run health insurance. Shocked me! Never expected him to be a single payer HC guy. Lots we disagreed on. We agreed on the spying on Americans must stop. He is concerned about our digital footprints. Made a compelling case. Shoes him the studio complex and even though we arent voting the same way ( not even close) we parted with friendship and respect. Smart guy but I really dont understand the libertarian label on him. i know that on selfishness i am not exactly Ayn rand myself so I am far from the libertarian police but on some topics he didnt appear even as libertarian L. Graham. Maybe I misunderstood. He said that he would come back and do an hour with me in tv. It will be fascinating. Then Tania and I just spent almost three hours at dinner with rand Paul. He was on fire tonight. I hope he runs for president. If he articulates his viewpoints as well as he did tonight he will change the dialogue in this country and just may be president. Great to listen to fresh and committed ideas from a libertarian (RP)that many americans will see as true freedom and total common sense. I would have loved to have Cuban at the dinner! Zune we do that as a special! :)
