Had more than a few conversations this past month with published Comics artists in the business that have found that the sales made for their time at conventions is so saturated by the poster print artists that have never been published and actually paid their dues.....that its getting to not be worth attending conventions. As long as conventions are willing to have unpublished artists over saturating the floor of these shows, you will loose people that have actually worked for Marvel Comics, Dc Comics, Dark Horse and others. Im thinking Comic shop appearances are the way to go for the people like us that lost sleep doing this work to begin with.
