Had one of the most bizarre experiences yesterday: I was on the bus on the way back from the orphanage in Cusco. A guy, well-dressed in his 30s got on, gave a speech to the bus, then put a huge nail in his mouth, two in his nose, pulled all three out of his nose, and waited for applause. There was none. So then he tried to sell cookies. No sales. So then he stood awkwardly on the bus for several more stops until he got off. Incredible. Anyone have an explanation? I didnt know whether to laugh or applaud or vomit or all three.
