Had the best conversation with an Army Chaplain today about unity within religions. Everyone knows the military has a diverse culture with many different denominations represented due to our immigration policies and EEOC laws. The guy said after his 30+ years in divinity and 10 years as a chief of Chaplains for his state guard that each positive religion agrees with each other just vary from one another based on labels applied to their beliefs and after his course on spirituality a Buddhist, Hindu, Christian and Muslim are harmoniously in agreement with tolerated each others spiritual states. The labels we use have been used to isolate the positivity in the world by diversifying belief systems so thin that no one believes themselves let alone tolerates others opposite of their own ideas. Relationship with the force that wills is subjective to the experience and cannot align to a dogma, but can be tolerated with compassion for each shared condition intrinsic to the whole, faith. Fundamentalism is divisive. We all believe in forces beyond ourselves. ...if not educate yourself by walking outside. Natural consequence happens beyond our will to avoid it, which is why we will all die. Questions - If religion exists wheres THE worlds religion? ...oh wait isnt that science? We are still arguing whether creationism includes big bang theories on relativity and whether either disproves each when the opposite truth is that they are both true. We then act in society like there are multiple worlds with our same opposite selves creating the delusion of the infinite possibility for all these unknown realities we surmise to exist when what is happening now is the unfolding and transformed reality that creates the future from understanding the past in the present. Religion to me is a dirty pure beginning to a transcendent spiritual ending conquered through a life spent persevering and sacrificially giving your life to being the truth you seek. The problem is that no one knows how to believe...turn on and wake up to the happening we call science all around us.
