Had the opportunity to visit one of Northern Ireland notorious prisons - as a youth I recall almost daily news in northern Ireland of quantities of people being remanded in custody in The Crum till inquires were carried out. Almost like guilty till proved completely innocent - it was horrible to consider the degrading processes that people admitted to the jail had to go thru - Some say well they deserved such treatment - but what about many that were simply suspected of terrible crimes and put in there so society could feel that the authorities caught somebody for the crime - I was thinking of a relation of mine who went in there despite not being actually guilty of doing what was accused off
