Had the pleasure of spending the weekend with Currumbin Creek Paddlers Club at the QLD sprint kayak champs. Great to meet and get to know the paddlers coming through now and help out where I could, congratulations to all who raced, an impressive medal haul to take home! The kids and I also had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with my old kayak coach John Newton, an absolutely incredible, incredible man who has been by my side for the last 16 years through thick, thin, highs, lows and everything in between. Without his advice, guidance, support, friendship, knowledge & his life experiences he has shared with me I wouldnt be where I am today.
