Had the privilege of being part of a lecture today at Georgetown College. Dr. Lars Wagner, Chief of Pediatric Oncology at UK, was kind enough to take time out of his busy schedule to speak to Dr. Susan Campbells class. Even though Dr. Wagner was not directly involved in Paxtons care, he still was kind enough to answer questions for us about Burkitts lymphoma throughout the year. It was always comforting to know that he was at UK when we came home between Chemotherapy treatments. The state and the university are very fortunate to have someone of his expertise.
