Had this nice stripy capture sent in by Jeremy Clark: This young ladys name is Ashley Bellingham, and its her fourth marlin. Its also the first of the season for her Houhora fishing club and possibly the biggest striped marlin this season so far! It was caught off Doubtless Bay in the Far North in 130m of blue water. Funny story is, we went game fishing over New Years with no luck at all, but this just made her more determined than ever. Ashley lives in Auckland, and couldnt sleep all night last Thursday, as she couldnt stop thinking about catching marlin. Was having a major fomo (fear of missing out for you old-schoolers), so decided she had to go back up to the Far North and catch one - and she did! As you might expect, Ashleys completely over the moon and can now sleep again!
