Had this question come up a few times as of late and want to make sure its clear. My bezels will not install on just any year Road Glide, so here it is in length so you know and hopefully understand. The Mean Mugs will fit 2010 and up by removing your bezel, and installing mine in its place. Only extra step you have to do, is drill 2 holes and add the security screws. Takes less then 2 minutes, and drilling 2 holes in your fairing will not hurt your bike, bring down the value and you wont go to Harley Hell for doing it. Its completely hidden and if you ever take the mean mug off you will never see the holes. (it also ensures its not easily stolen) The installation video is here youtu.be/E7l2h9oTyBc 2006-2009 requires you to do the adapter conversion. It is the black ring that your actual headlights are mounted to. What this does, is move your headlights out so you can remove them without pulling your fairing off if you need to replace a bulb, but also gives the clearance needed for adding the mean mug on. The parts you can get from your H-D dealer, and cost is $60 at list price. That conversion video is here. youtu.be/Xj5hiK2xyhI Once that is completed, its just like the 2010 and up, just pop it in and secure it with the screws. Now 2006 is an odd year, as I have had 1 guy tell him his headlights where not right (but lots more tell me theirs was).. so you may be better off following the instructions below. 1998-2005 requires you to buy an entire headlight assembly. The reason being, the shape of the headlights will not fit the 2010 and up headlight adapter ring without modification. Now H-D did this change sometime in the 05 and 06 model year, and Ive even had a guy with 06s tell me that his headlights didnt fit but there is no documentation on when H-D did the change. So Im not sure if his was swapped out sometime, Harley did some early 06s with the older bulbs or what. What you are looking for is pictured here. You want the assembly where you can see the screws that hold your headlights on to the adapter ring from the front. You DO NOT want the assembly where the screws are hidden,.. you already have that one on your bike. Now these are anywhere from $125 and up on ebay used right now,. not sure for new pricing. You can also just upgrade to the Daymaker LEDs, mean mugs will fit with them no problem as well on any year bike. I hope that explains it all in detail so you dont get the wrong parts, or buy things that have been misrepresented by someone else. If you have any questions let me know.
