Had to laugh today after a island women claimed I had driven around a roundabout incorrectly. I wouldnt have minded if I had done something wrong in the first place but the fault was all hers. She claims when you indicate right at a roundabout it means you are going all the way around back on yourself but it doesnt apply if your taking the second or third exit off the roundabout (basically she thinks you dont need to indicate your intentions if your doing this). Funny thing is she drove most of the way from East Cowes up my backside then at the roundabout failed to indicate to signal right then pulled across to the nearside of the roundabout trying to undertake me. I will be tacking this car owner down in East Cowes so I can draw her a diagram showing the correct method when driving on a roundabout and provide her with an up to date copy of the highway code. This Drive Safe Campaign the island launched last week has no hope of success when we have people like her that think they are in the right all the time. The car was a old dark Volkswagen but unsure of the model. Im sure you wont miss her if you see her around East Cowes.
