Had to share one more Beau post! I dont think he wanted to leave Leatherman Lane, because he was less than cooperative about getting in the trailer for his owner today... In usual Brendan Wise Horsemanship fashion, assistance was given and in under a minute Beau was loaded up. I honestly think Beau was confused and thought Brendan was wanting him to side-step to the mounting block (a wonderful exercise the horses are taught here, that teaches them to come to you and stand still to be mounted). But once he understood that is not what was being asked of him, he relaxed and walked onto the trailer. I have seen Brendan do this with so many different horses (Beau was easy, while others I was sure were NOT going on the trailer before Brendan got to them). Each time the end result is the same, the horse easily walks on in the end, thanks to consistent queues taught by Brendan. youtu.be/gMsc1z7pkS8
