Had to strip the music, but wanted to repost these slides of my Dad. Five years ago, my heart broke for good. I was close to Mom but had my Dad 20 years longer, and we got close too. What a life he led: born in the country, educated in Chicago where he started a successful taxi service in the 1940s, moved to Cali in 52 and owned a service station, started a used car business, worked as a Deputy and then retired from that to join the start-up LA school police. Retired from that and became a hostile terminator until his death at age 82. To him, a good day was spent fishing. He was the poster child for good man. He was always willing to help people, often going out of his way to do it, always had a smile, a corny joke and a way to get anything cheaper than anyone else could. His best advise: Its good when people underestimate you, because they are always surprised when they get an ass whuppin. He still makes me smile and I am blessed to have memories. RIP Sunny, 11/8/27-7/3/09. Miss you much, love you forever.
