Had too make a hard decision yesterday and put down the cat weve had the longest named Babe. She was one of the best cats weve ever had--from jumping in the middle of other kitty altercations like a referee to being a friend to the others in the pride, licking their faces. She battled pneumonia for the last 7 weeks, sometimes rallying and looking like shed recover. The past couple of days, she looked like she was tired of fighting, and although we loved her, it was time to let go. I took her to the local shelter and the lady who I really respect there took her and after holding her a minute, said I was doing the right thing. I told Babe before I left her Id see her on the other side...so glad she is free from the confines of her mortal body (her earth suit).
