Hafa Adai! We are Josiah and Leana Zimmerman ☺ We are connected with Oasis Empowerment Center on Guam and have been serving as missionaries throughout the world with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). Most recently we served indigenous youth and marginalized communities in Australia and Papua New Guinea. We have invested in physical and human capital in Guam, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Philippines to enhance the overall health and wellbeing of youth. We have been apart of building water tanks and latrines, teaching hygiene-sanitation and preaching in schools, assisting administration and logistics in medical clinics, and sharing God’s word. Ultimately, we want to join God as His love transforms people’s lives. We love seeing the transformation of those who are hopeless start living with hope and to use the blessings we’ve received to bless others. This September 2013, we are headed to Kona, Hawaii where we will be teaching in the Foundation School—a primary school for youth ages 4 to 17 modeled and formatted after the University of the Nations (UOFN). We committed to teach for the next 9 months. After our commitment in Kona we will do 9-month development training at the YWAM Bible School. As we journey into the next season of our lives we are hoping that you would prayerfully consider financially partnering with us. As volunteer missionaries we do not receive a salary or financial compensation. We are preparing to live on an island with a higher cost-of-living and save for the School of Biblical Studies so we are seeking help.
