Hah! That was a fun 36 hours - not :( I was still feeling pretty grim yesterday morning, so trotted along to the GP - who sent me back to A&E in Stockport >:( In their usual inimitable style, they kept me waiting so long I went hypo, and from that point on it all revolved around the diabetes. In fact, I ended up hypo on 3 separate occasions, just because nobody understands how insulin and glucose interact - after the final episode, the medical staff managed to push the blood sugar levels through the roof, and then couldnt work out why using a slow acting insulin did not bring it rapidly down ... There is nothing like having needles stuck in you at hourly intervals all night for making sure you get no sleep. Then at 4am they decided they needed to get a chest x-ray done. Why? Why 4am? As soon as the day shift came on, I was ignored, and nobody but me was concerned with the blood sugar levels ... All that, and they decided the nausea and vomiting had nothing to do with hitting my head - it was simply piss poor timing for picking up a virus!
