Haider is a bold and brilliant movie. Hamlet has not been adapted as much as used as an analogy for the Kashmir situation. Shahid, Shraddha and Tabu are excellent in the movie but the show stealer is Kay Kay. Vishal always has had a standout character performance in his movies, Pankaj Kapoor in Maqbool and Matru.., Saif Ali Khan in Omkara and in this one it is Kay Kay. Despite the political backdrop and overtones, I didnt find this to be a political film. However, from an adaptation perspective it is a little disappointing in comparison with his earlier 2 attempts but Hamlet is a difficult subject to grapple with.
