Hailing from Canada, Justin Bieber has become one of the world’s most popular singers and a true multimedia sensation. His journey to fame and fortune began in 2008 when a talent manager discovered 13-year-old Bieber’s homegrown YouTube videos, which showcased the teen’s impressive vocal abilities. From there, Bieber began a professional relationship with the singer Usher, who helped position him for the big time. Bieber’s debut record, “One Time,” was released in July 2009 and gradually became an international hit. The official video for the song has attracted over 100 million views. Bieber’s first album, My World, followed shortly afterward, hitting the market in two separate installments in November 2009 and March 2010. Bieber became the youngest male singer to score a #1 album since Stevie Wonder way back in 1963. The Bieber phenomenon grew rapidly. 2011 saw the release of the 3D concert film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never and a collection of Christmas songs, Under the Mistletoe. His third studio album, 2012’s Believe, became another #1 success for the teenage singer.
