Haitian Rara/ Dominican Gaga today in Central Park from 6-10pm. Funky ass drums and horns and lots of dancing and rum sipping. This is my Sunday "Church" and has been for year (during the summer). If you want to find it you should enter the park through 72nd st either West Side or East Side and walk towards Summer Stage. It is behind summer stage if coming from the East Side and just before you get to the summer stage if coming from the West Side. The Rara is between Summer stage and the skaters. They are situated on benches and you will recognize them because of the distinctive horns that make you want to circle your hips and move your feet. If you want to experience something unique and funky today you should consider coming through. After that I am headed up to Spanish Harlem (Camaradas to be exact) to check one of my favorite Groups...Yerba Buena.
