Haitians believe playing in the rain causes a cold. So Cherina played in the rain on Friday and got a cold (she was getting the cold before Friday). Conclusion the rain caused the cold. Well I now have the cold but did not play in the rain. Based on the reasoning used I should not have gotten this cold. I never ever played in the rain. Since I got the cold I reject the hypothesis above and concluded playing in rain does not cause a cold but being in close proximity of someone with a cold will increase my chances of getting a cold. Can you tell I am a science teacher?
