Half the time Mayor Nenshi votes to hold the line and half the time he does not. He definitely does not act like the real fiscal conservative he claimed to be when it comes to the all-important final budget votes and tax hikes. Nenshi sides with those, who in the mayor’s own words, treat taxpayers like an ATM machine. He attacks them and then votes with them. The mayor also definitely does not mind dinging the taxpayer when it comes to taking your provincial tax break, cash he craved before, during and after the flood. The numbers are there. Read them and weep.
