Half way through my workshop at Tokyo Yoga and I must say that - TopicsExpress

Half way through my workshop at Tokyo Yoga and I must say that the people here are some of the nicest and friendliest people that I have ever met. What particularly impresses me is that people are constantly bowing deeply to each other, not just nodding their heads. It reminds me of that possibly most important stanza in the Gita, “Who sees Me in all beings and all beings in Me, to him I am never lost nor is he to Me.” I have also seem some stunning ancient shrines and temples and look forward to seeing more. It is amazing how much stillness one can experience at these shrines in the middle of a 10-Million-people city. It is impressive that amidst all this progress Japanese culture has preserved its meditative core. This afternoon at the Meiji shrine some I was sitting meditating on a parkbench when I heard some little birds chirping in the branches above me. Without thinking much I picked up a few nuts which I happen to find. The birds alighted on my outstretched hand and were feeding for a few minutes. It did not take long for some the visitors to start taking photos of me and the birds. Funny! Here some workshop photos of the beautiful people of Tokyo and my goofy self in the middle.
