Halfway through my current DUP block where I am squatting 4x per week, benching 4x a week & deadlifting 3x. Today was day 2 where I started off squatting 4x5 @ 245 followed by benching 4x5 @150. Of course there are times when I like to believe Mike is just insaine. But then I run across this crap of an article being shared on social media. Who sits around waiting to jump on bashing any elite athlete? My first thoughts being a natural Pro athlete is hot dang, that physique demonstrates pure discipline to nutrition day in an day out, every single meal. IFPA pros are known for bringing the leanest most conditioned physiques around. Respect! Next is the level of dedication to training. After lifting this way the past 20 months, 6 days a week, I know the mental and physical fierceness that is possessed. There are days when I might not know if it is sweat or a tear dripping down my face in a momentary lapse of self pitty. I also know that these numbers this athlete carries are not off the charts. These are numbers that myself, as well as a number of badass fellow strength athletes have seen and continue to improve upon with limitless possibility. It is one thing to debate over scientific research, its another to argue with ignorance. I cannot wait to be in Denver next week, with strong like minded individuals, learning SCIENCE from the best of the best!
