Halloween have catched on a bit the later years here in Norway, - TopicsExpress

Halloween have catched on a bit the later years here in Norway, but the tradition with trick or treating is not really easy to do here, as we 1. live out in the country side and 2. a lot of people dont really like it as it is a new thing going on. The most we know about the celebrating of Halloween (or think we know) are inspired from American movies. The last 4 years we have held parties for our kids friends, and our friends kids - we decorate with scary stuff, serve spooky foods, lots of candy and help them carve pumpkins etc. When the darkness falls - we tour them trough the barn - which is turned into a haunted house. We try to add new things there every year, it is of course very amateurish, but we are pleased with the result - and most important: The kids LOVE it.
