Halloween is a touchy subject for so many people. People choose to celebrate or not celebrate however they would like. I prefer to celebrate Happy Harvest. My children were able to dress up as a non-scary story book character. They did more cake-walks, and games at church more than anything. They will even tell you they were deprived in being able to Trick-or-Treat. On occasion they would sometimes be allowed to go to a few homes, but for the most part I was concerned for what was being deposited in their treat bags.Thats my right as a Momma. I took my Grandson Drayton to Church last night for a hay ride and to Trunk-or-treat. The Church was reaching out to a Childrens Home, and one of the children had a scary mask on. Drayton starts crying, and would not go anywhere near that sweet child with the scary mask. In fact he pulled on me and said I am ready to go MiMi. we really had a wonderful time, until he became scared. I am not judging in ANY way. I am simply saying that the very truth is that children dont want to be scared. It may be funny, or a joke to some. However if you think back to the very first time you were scared in your life, it was not a feeling of joy!
