Hand readers aren’t generally experts in the field of nail - TopicsExpress

Hand readers aren’t generally experts in the field of nail permutations and their associated medical conditions, but we do need a basic understanding of the indications of the more common variables, especially as some of these reveal people’s temperament traits. Clubbed (‘Hippocratic’) nails might be inherited, but when they ‘wrap’ more suddenly they signal lung, heart and other diseases. Blue tinges around moons also indicate respiratory or cardiovascular disorder. Concave or dished nails (spoon nail) are linked to iron levels and to lupus. Brittle, cracked nails can be caused by several skin conditions that affect the nails, and by severe thyroid imbalance. Brown and orange hues link to kidney weakness and high uric acid. Yellow in nails may signal a delicate liver accompanied by cranky moodiness. People with high blood pressure often have red in their nails, but red also shows energy, irritability and argumentativeness. White, greyish and pale nails are symptomatic of Raynauds disease and anaemia, but also show tiredness and cool, rather restricted emotional expression. Ridges that run along the length of nails occur normally with ageing but associated disease conditions can include rheumatism, diabetes and thyroid imbalance. In chirology, longitudinal fluting reveals hyperactivity of the water element, suggesting a highly sensitive disposition.
