Handling Perfectionism Use this strategy anytime you are feeling like you want things to be perfect. There is a place in the Universe at source creation where you were made perfect as a soul. Down here on Earth, we are not perfect. We are human. We have been programmed to try hard to look good, feel and sound great all the time, even when it is not true. As authentic beings we are gradually overcoming this tendency and tuning into our true selves. When you take things seriously and seek perfection, its time to relax again and accept what it. There will always be more dust in the corners. When you begin to feel perfectionism coming on here are some tools. 1. Breathe deep into your belly and to the place inside where you are feeling this energy. 2. Hold the part that wants to be perfect and remind him or her that you love him as is. 3. As the part to join you and visualize your tension going into a helium balloon and floating away into the sun. Let the balloon pop up there and let the sun radiate its light back to you. 4. Take a look at the underlying control issue that may be there. What purpose would it serve you if everything was perfect? Would you feel more safe? Give yourself that safety or whatever your purpose is on the inner right now. 5. Take a few more breaths breathing into the place of deep peace. This peace is there 24-7. It is always there breathing, beating inside your heart and soul. By releasing your need to control, you surrender to what is and find the initial pulse created by the Universe.
