Handsome Magazine Issue C – New York City NY KIDS Cover Story for Handsome Magazine Winter/13 Issue C / New York. Intense portraits of exceptional NYC Kids, including Top Model Shaun Ross, who embody the individual and vibrant New York. I draw my inspiration from the people I meet in my immediate environment, the streets of New York. It was a goal to capture a playful and unique intimacy between the models and me the photographer. I was inspired by the Girl Ewok Gia‘s pet snake, Anachromia, which she carries in her backpack around New York City. As I visited with her I learned that she keeps a collection of exotic animals, which she likes to include in her shoots. As my vision for the shoot evolved, I decided to move towards Minimalism. I wanted the models‘ personalities to be the focus of the series.
