Handsome Roofus is back at the shelter. He was adopted in November, but his new family had to move and were unable to take Roofus with them. Hes really hoping the next time will be forever. Everybody loves the big guy! Hes eligible for our Paws for Consideration program - take hime home for a few days and see how he fits in with your household. Here is what his foster had to say: Barrow County called us and we went out to pick him up. I put him in the back of my SUV, but he didn`t want to stay there. He wanted to sit in the front seat! He`s a large dog and, as I learned, one who likes to cuddle. He kept trying to put his head on my shoulder. However, his big head prevented me from seeing the road!! He loves ear rubs, belly rubs, and to be talked to. He waited patiently for pieces of his 3 McDonalds double hamburgers, and ate gently out of my hand. He rewarded me with kisses. This is one SWEET dog! He just spent time overnight in a home and he was well behaved. Roofus is completely housebroken, sits, stays, is quiet (even outside). He slept in the daughter`s bedroom. He needs a fenced yard and his favorite toys are balls. Roofus was heartworm positive, was treated, and is now fully recovered.
