Hanging out watching Shorty sleep. He was still awake at 5am this morning. He has the sweats it seems, something new since his temp is only 96. These tempurpedic memory foam beds are like sleeping in an oven, he had soaked through his clothes, sheets, blankets by 7am. His heart rate is pretty low again this morning, there does not seem to be any predictable cycle to this as far as time of day, or after meds or anything else I can see. Yesterday afternoon while he was watching TV, laying very still, it was 49. I have not heard anything on the heart monitor referral yet and there seems to be some question as to when the documented start of cycle 3 should be, he took a week off the drug. Not a big, big deal but could keep us here a 7-10 days longer than I hoped. Waiting to hear back from the PBTC group who is running this show. These trials are so complex, there are soooo many rules and guidelines, protocols, grades. Not sure what to do today, I doubt Shorty will feel like anything but this tiny basement room is starting to make my heart a little sickly too. All is fine, just in that hurry up and wait mode. Please keep Shorty in your hearts, pray that whatever is going on calms so he can continue fighting the tumor and I can get him home soon. XO
