Hangovers are not what they used to be! Hangovers used to - TopicsExpress

Hangovers are not what they used to be! Hangovers used to accompanied by a sense of accomplishment, for I had done something awesome to earn it. A hangover was the pain that was only equal in measure to the fun that had been had the night before. The excitement of putting together the pieces of the night before mixed with the squeamish feelings of yeah that happened made for an entertaining morning after activity Id look forward to; creating a self-fulfilling cycle of night outs followed by mornings after, followed by nights out and so it went on... .... For almost a decade. Now, perhaps partly owing to turning the ripe old age of 26 last week, hangovers are nothing short of an overwhelming physical rejection and objection to my life choices over the last 16 hours or so. I think my body has finally put its foot down and said NO! I am not working, while you sleep, to efficiently cleanse you of these insidious toxins you chose to put in me anymore! The uprising of a vessel that has served me so well through so many debaucherous adventures! Do I give in to this rebellious stand, this tangible show of discontent? HELL NO! Actually right this second ... Yes... But fear not, Ill bounce back. And I think from now on forth that will be what a hangover is. A test of my bounce-back-ability.
