Hannah earned a second and a third against 19 competitors. She danced beautifully. As much as I love being with her when she wins, I love having the time with her after she performs less than she would prefer. Thats when we have the good conversations about perseverance and the lessons learned. She always bounces back and does even better next time. Instead of shielding kids from disappointment, we can teach them to use that energy toward a constructive end.
