Happiness, A Journey. A good way to - TopicsExpress

Happiness, A Journey. A good way to measure ones happiness is the ability for someone to project reaching fulfillment on some level in the future; meaning, ones perception of rewards and contentment in the future translates into feeling better and happier in the present. Thus, optimism does really count for well being. Also, this is a prime time historically for you to be happy. Given that hundreds of years ago individuals and families were much more (necessarily so) focused on day-to-day survival, while now-a-days, Westerners to varying degrees are afforded the luxary of time and ability to choose to more readily effect their future outcomes. Therefore, for a Happy Present and Fulfilling Future, start now by asking and really contemplating these 3 questions in this order: 1)--Why not be Happy? 2)--What will bring me Fulfillment in the future? and most importantly, 3)--How can I improve each day in the present to obtain my fulfilling life wishes in the future that make me happy today? However, what you do not want to get stuck on is the question that ultimately arises: 0)--How Long it will take to obtain your future pursuit? If at some point you are not Happy, things do not feel light, and youre struggling, then repeat and reevaluate the 3 questions and see if you have not strayed a bit from your purposeful path; also, check and observe if obstacles or lift circumstances have made there way to seemingly impede you. Always get back to relaxing, refocusing, and reminding yourself of where youre going and how to get there, and know there is no designated time that you must finish - a journey is not a race; happiness is not a race. Ultimately, Happiness is much more than the fulfillment of some pursuit obtained in the future; it is more so that on the daily journey, you will: reach day-to-day achievements, have a sense of purpose and direction, and feel self-satisfaction, all of which contribute to illuminates Happiness. I challenge you to PURSUE and PERSIST and start asking the right questions. Soon youll be on the road of Happiness heading toward your destination of Fulfillment. Godspeed! --david
