Happiness Is… Learning to Rejoice: Chapter 20, Part I Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! –PHILLIPPIANS 4:4 NKJV Have you made the choice to rejoice? If you’re a Christian, you have every reason to be joyful. After all, the ultimate battle has already been won on the cross at Calvary. And if your life has been transformed by Christ’s sacrifice, then you, as a recipient of God’s grace, have every reason to live joyfully. Yet sometimes, amid the inevitable hustle and bustle of life here on earth, you may lose sight of your blessings as you wrestle with the challenges of everyday life. Do you seek happiness, abundance, and contentment? If so, here are some things you should do: Love God and His son; depend upon God for strength; try, to the best of your abilities to follow God’s will and strive to obey His Holy Word. When you do these things, you’ll discover that happiness goes hand-in-hand with righteousness. The happiest people are not those who rebel against God; the happiest people are those who love God and obey His commandments. What does life have in store for you? A world full of possibilities (of course, it’s up to you to seize them) and God’s promise of abundance (of course, it’s up to you to accept it). So as you embark upon the next phase of your journey, remember to celebrate the life that God has given you.
