Happy Aloha (Friendship) Friday! Today is a special day for me…Today I celebrate two anniversaries. Twenty-nine years ago, I left the Miami MEPS heading for basic training at Fort Jackson SC. Four years ago I attended Zumba® Basic 1 training. During both adventures, I met some amazing people. Some, who I still keep in touch with to this very day, and I am thankful for everyone whom I have met along the way. No matter if they did or did not like me, I am still thankful. I am thankful for all the leaders and subordinates I had while serving on active duty in the military and all of the students and instructors that I have taught or attended classes with. Everyone who has touched my life has had a positive impact on making me who I am today. Don’t get me wrong, I am just an average person who likes to enjoy life and help others, but I am that person because of the people who I’ve met over the years. So to all my friends and family, a big MAHALO NUI LOA (for those who are not from Hawaii, or never been just google it…LOL!) May we continue to love one another and lift each other up in prayer and praise! I challenge everyone to reach to a friend, family, or coworker and tell him or her how much they mean to you and how thankful you are for having them in your life.
