Happy Birthday Daddy. It is hard to believe that it has been such a long time since we could say to say those words to you. You have watched us grow and choose our own lives, have triumphs and mistakes, but we know that you are always there watching over us. Your grandchildren have missed so much in having you guide them in their choices, but my son Joe ( the only one to briefly know you) has wonderful memories of coloring with Poppop. Your grandchildren have grown to be proud citizens of this world, even two of them ,( Joey and Tommy), going to war to keep our freedom. Today on your 102nd birthday, know that, as always, you are in my heart and mind and I miss you more than ever. I love you, your firstborn-Mary Ruth.
