Happy Birthday Myra Celeste Mansour Kucera! From the spectacular St. Joes Class of 1972. I asked Myra for some thoughts to share with you ...... I attended St. Joseph from 1969-1972, after transitioning from a public school starting at kindergarden. After quite a struggle my freshman year, and thanks to a nun who mercifully looked out for me, I was so delighted to make the honor roll. Receiving the shorthand award at graduation was icing on the cake. Although studying wasnt my favorite thing, I dearly loved Spanish I and II, thanks to Sister Raphaela. My most memorable moments are hanging out after school at the Royal Castle with Ramona, Ileana, Mary, Carol, Doris and Mike, and alternating such adventures with the Woolworths café and going to the very top of some of the old downtown buildings and hotels. Of course, I had crushes on some of the guys -- no names here! Finally, Ive been so fortunate to have kept in touch with many of my St. Joe friends after all these years, and Facebook is a great way to do this! Thanks for the great memories Myra.
