Happy Birthday Sadhana 02 Sep I was floored by her when I saw her in the 1962 movie Asli Naqli, which was a Hrishikesh Mukherjee movie that starred her opposite Dev Anand. As she sang this song on the roof of the house with moon in the sky and in her eyes, with trees alluringly swinging in the background, and let out the confusion of a young beloved; which is that even though our love is eternal, why am I so fearful! Could this be the atmosphere created by the combine of Hasrat Jaipuri and Shankar Jaikishan and Lata Mangeshkar. Or, could it be her countenance that did me in? Perhaps both. But, when I think of Sadhana, it is the third song that comes to my mind.
