Happy Birthday (Sept. 27) to operatic rock singer & actor Meat Loaf (Marvin Lee Aday), best known for his Bat Out of Hell album trilogy released across several decades (in partnership with songwriter/producer Jim Steinman), consisting of Bat Out of Hell (1977), Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell (1993) & Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster is Loose (2006); the first of these has sold more than 43 million copies worldwide & still moves an estimated 200,000 copies annually; it remained on the charts for over nine years, making it one of the best selling albums of all time; he has also appeared in over 50 movies or TV shows, including his role as Eddie in the 1975 cult classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show; Meat Loafs most recent album is the 2011 Hell In A Handbasket; he is reportedly working with Jim Steinman again towards a new album for 2015, provisionally titled Braver Than We Are…
