Happy Birthday to Herb Alpert today, March 31st. Hes 79 years young. His unbelievably successful career with the Tijuana Brass grew steadily through the 60s with his first big hit in 1962 with the The Lonely Bull. It extended thru the 70s, 80s and even the 90s. He produced five Number 1 albums among 28 total albums and picked up nine Grammys in the process along with his fourteen platinum albums and fifteen gold albums which altogether sold more than 72 million worldwide.
