Happy Birthday to my wonderful son, Daniel Miguel Bak. About twenty-eight years ago, Daniels biological mom gave birth to him in Asuncion, Paraguay. About a week later, she stood in the yard of a local hotel owner and waited for her to come home. When the hotel owner arrived home, the new mom asked for a drink of water. When the hotel owner arrived back in the yard with the water, Daniel was lying on the front step wrapped in a womans skirt. A note said, This baby born on May 19. Please take care of him. I will always be so grateful that the biological mom made certain that Daniel was safe. She loved him too. He was adopted shortly after these events, and my life began as the mom of a sweet, talented, fiercely loyal, extremely funny, kind, generous, and beautiful young man. To Daniels friends whove always laughed when he told you he had two birthdays----- sorry, its true. The date on his birth mothers note and the date on the official papers. Love you, Son.
